A brief timeline history of Bennett's of Tamworth.
Bennetts of Tamworth are a long running establishment and have been serving the people of Tamworth since 1928.
Below is a short history of the firm:-
1928
Mr David Bennett who originally worked from Edingale set up the company in 1928 with just 1 vehicle. He like many others served in the forces and it wasn't till after the war the company moved to Amington and started to expand.

1961-2
In 1961-2 Mr D. Bennett handed the firm over to his son Brian
|
1966-68
In 1966-68 Brian bought his 1st minibus and 2 new Diesel Morris Oxford's. The name of the Company was then changed to Bennetts Taxi's and Minibuses.

2002
The Company continued to expand and larger minibuses and coaches were added to the fleet. Brian sold the taxi and small minibus company to Frank and Sandra Steele in 2002.

2010
Frank and Sandra have continued expanding the company to the present figure of 50 vehicles and installed a fully automated computer dispatch system and brand new website with online quoting. keeping Bennetts the forerunner in Tamworth and the surrounding area.
